The crux of the solution, according to him, there should be a give and take. What does he want to give, in return for what he wants to take from us i.e. Kashmir? The POK is already with him and he has no intention of giving it up. There is a joke in our country side. One cunning boy wants to enter into an agreement with another not so bright fellow. He says to him," Come on, friend. You bring the chaffed rice from your home and i will bring chaff from my home. We both of us will mix them up and enjoy eating the rice, after playfully winnowing the chaff." That is what Musharraf wants to suggest to the "decent" Manmohan Singh.

first let him present it diplomatically everybody could talk good or trash to the media. A long term solution is what everyone is working for. If presented properly the workablity can then be argued upon. Gen.Musharaff can claim but India is already at the negotiating table. Lets see. Already Jihad - e - Kashmir magazine has complained about the peace process. So the general faces certain problems too. Only when comes diplomatically its possible otherwise its just another media hype for the general to assure his western donors.

I think he is not the right person to lead the peace talks because he is not an elected leader of Pakistan. Kashmir issue can not solve without stopping terrorism in Kashmir
so first of all Pakistan must stop cross border terrorism .

There must some way out of this situation. Both the parties know all the permutations and combinations. Why Musharraf has to propose always and India has to buy it as-though it is in the interest of Pakistan alone?. I think eventually something will go out of control somewhere and India will reject it again. Sorry, no hopes.

No. Successive rulers of Pakistan never wanted Kahsmir problem to be solved. The issue is their bread and butter.
Pakistan lost three wars with India and they will continue to lose the wars. They have no alt ernative but to give up Kahsmir either inside or out of the box.
