Is it possible for e-mails to go missing?

To be sent from one account but never actually received in the other e-mail inbox?

If it is possible, what happens to the ones that go astray?

no chance if the address is right. A small mistake in typing the address will come back to u and if there is someone with that address u have typed it will go to them. I received some mails posted to someone. I politely said to verify the address

Sometimes they may end up in your bulk folder because they're thought to be spam mail.

not realy unless you delete them by mistake
