clutter blocks the positive energy from flowing freely around you, your life, and things.
"In feng shui, certain areas of your home correspond to particular areas of your life: wealth, romance, creativity, friends, career and health."
I recently had a problem with work, then I realized how cluttered my home office/computer room was. After rearranging things and bringing order back things have become better.

You obviously already realize you have an issue with clutter, so instead of wondering what some philosophy says about the issue, just DEAL with it. If you haven't used something for 6 months to one year, throw it out or donate it to someone who will use it. Spend 10 minutes every day just dealing with one small area of clutter and by the end of the month, you won't have clutter and you'll generally feel better about your accomplishment! Hooray for you!
