Hi Greg, i used to have a window cleaning round in Enfield during the 80's. It was mostly residential - but took in the social club of a small hospital - so apart from the latter, it would not have been practical to use a squeegee in most cases. i used a bucket of warm or cold water (refreshed every so often) and 'scrim cloth'. You have to boil the scrim for several hours beforehand - otherwise the cloth leaves fibres on the glass. This method of cloth and water and 'elbow grease' was most satisfactory for my customers for over 2 years, until i gave up the round. Of course, larger windows generally may require squeegee and soap because of the area you are covering - in which case, none of this would have answered your question - but it may offer some balance. Regards, mick.

I use LOC Multipurpose Cleaner... a capful of it in a bucket of water, sponge on a stick, and a rubber wiper. No streaks! If I'm feeling particularly diligent, I'd follow it up with See Spray and a soft dry cloth.
Get the products at www.quixtar.com if you're in N. America, otherwise email me and I'll find out for you how you can get it. I always have a bottle of LOC at hand--there are 200 uses to it and yet one bottle lasts me about one year.

what ever soap you use, try and rubb the windows with newspaper! Instead of paper towels or cloth. That leaves them very shiny! Just dampen it a little. You'll see
