It's not really a Numerical Thing.It's more of a Mental Issue. When One is Firmly Convinced that They Truly "Know-It-All", and no matter what Others may Say or Do, the Inevitable Reply is "Been-There-Done-That", then One is truly "Old" which Indicates that One cannot Learn or Do Anything Productive, and is "Set-In-One's-Ways". A Classic Example would be what Warren Buffet recently did, with His Endowment to the Gates Foundation. That was just so Totally Cool, and he Threw Everyone Off-Guard with that Gift to make the World a Better Place ! I Think He's Over 39 [+] ? Now, does that Sound Like Something "An Old Man" would do ? I don't think so ! Are You "An Old Man"?

Well, since 40 is the new 30, and 50 is the new 40, I would say that a person can be described as being old once they are past 55 years of age. Before that, they are just middle aged.

To me i perceive an old man to be over the age of 60 yrs old. As they are normally getting very fragile by that age.
