Absolutley gross, I have the great job of cleaning everyones computers in the office at work, although i clean them once a month they still get really acked up with gunk. Worst case is when you spill liquid (mainly coffee) on them and then crumbs get stuck to that, eurgh!! When this happens you think, it'll be ok it will last till the next time its due for a clean, and then your keys start to stick so you can't avoid it. Can't tell you how gross that is. Just think every time you touch your keyboard dead skin falls of your hands and sticks to your keyboard and when you sneeze bits of grossness goes onto it.... Not a nice job cleaning them up. So the answer to your question, our keyboards are very disgusting.

Oh I daren't. There's some unidentifiable sticky stuff up in the top right corner by the caps lock light that I won't even go near. This is the kind of keyboard that you don't just wash you hands after using, you want to amputate them just to make sure you got rid of all the germs, I could probably kill several of the more virulent strains of the plague with what lurks over there in the number pad.
Oh, this isn't actually my keyboard, it's just the one I use at work. I'm also far too scared to clean the underside of the mouse as it's still one with a ball! My own keyboard is super-clean as I have one of those little hoover things which are just fantastic, and I have a tracker pad instead of a mouse.

Mine is very clean, I can't stand dirty keyboards, all those bugs, use an air canister to get rid of dust etc in between keys and alcohol computer wipes to clean keys, I actually dab polish onto make-up buds and clean them that way but this is only for those with patience. My sister once worked at a call centre and the lady next to her turned her keyboard upside down and little black creatures fell out and starting walking across the table, Argh.
My local library isn't any better, the keyboards to the public computers are never cleaned and the keys are black with filth as a result and people still go on them and don't batter an eyelid, gross. Last time I went on one of them, I took my own cleaning wipes as there was no way I was going to touch any of those keyboards in the mess they are in, its sooo filthy.

I tipped mine upside down recently and loads of stuff fell out. I put it all in a pan and made it into a keyboard stew. I'd recommend it, you never know what your going to get with each mouthful.

I'm a really messy person but its the one thing I clean. Every couple of days I give it a shake to get the dust and dirt out. Pity I can't get around to cleaning everything else around me.

Very - I do clean it often though.
We have just had a memo this morning at work that we are
not allowed to eat at our computers any longer.
So looks like mine will be fine in future.

You really don't want to know. I think even Aggie and Kim would turn up their noses in disgust.
Probably about time I took it to bits and cleaned it again.
