You have some choices which are to have a sexual relationship with him but take precautions. Or to end your relationship with him. Which there is no need to do based on he is HIV positive. Or you can tell him you just want to be friends nothing more. You can have a relationship with him and be sexual with out having sex together. You and him can masturbate in front of each other. Use toys on each other. Just be sure to use precautions while doing so. The best advice is to consult your doctor for advice. They will be able to tell you whats the best precautions for you and him to take so you don't get HIV from him.

If he already tests positive you need to be tested to provide the answer. If you are HIV free, you can take precautions, or end the relationship.

Have you been sexually active with him yet? How does he feel about the whole thing? The first thing is to be supportive of him - this is a huge thing to find out and he'll need all the support he can get. Talk with him about it - explain your worries and your fears. He may not even want to be sexually active right now.
Talk about it with him and make a choice together.
