Yes. But you have to walk fast or you will die of old age filling out all the paperwork....

I live in Canada where healthcare is free for the most part. I work at a great hospital, but oddly people regularly try to walk out. Maybe i should change from working in the psych unit to paliative care.

I did, the one and only time I was in hospital for anything other than work or visiting. I was in there because my appendix had burst and they had to get it out (on my 16th friggin' birthday). I was in there on nil-by-mouth for a week, and then a second week where my friends thoughtfully brought me whiskey in a coca-cola bottle.

The doctor came to me one day and said he was going to discharge me the following Wednesday. While I was having a smoke later on, I overheard him telling another doctor he was going golfing all day next Wednesday. I just walked out.

i cant count the amount of times i have done that, and when they say i have to pay the hospital bill ,i tell them if you were a good hospital you would have known i was gone 3 days prior to you noticing i was gone so if you want to charge me for the stay that didnt involve me then charge whomever was in the bed that i was supposedly in

I would only do it if I felt that my life or health was in danger because of incompetent care or neglect.
