If you are signing up for a direct deposit these are normally requested. A blank voided check would be just that. Tear out a check, void it and submit it. The paying agency will take the bank routing number and account number and use it to set up the direct deposit. Other information can be taken off the deposit slip which you state is for a savings account, presumably a separate account.
