I know most of you would say that its really up to you, etc. But I would really want to know your actual opinion, such as when you started wearing it or if you have a daughter, what age would you let her start wearing makeup?

i started wearing makeup around 12 [ .liquid foundation] because i felt i had a acne problem, then by the age of 14 or 15 started wearing all the rest, now 35 years later still wearing it and wishing i hadn't started at such a young age

I am 17 and I only started wearing make-up when I hang out with my friends since June this year. I think after 16 would be a good age, but do it sparingly and only when you need it (not when you are only going downstairs to get groceries). If I had a daughter, I would let her start wearing make up from maybe 16?

If you have a doughter let her wear make up when you feel that she's mature enough....Make sure that she can handle cleaning her face really well and every day, because if not then her face will start to break out bad. I guess that it depends on how mature the child is but make sure that it is not like when she's 10 or 12 years old because that is to young... also make sure that she knows when is enough because you dont want her looking crazy with a whole lot of makeup on.

Although my mom let me use make up for the first time when I was 19 to 20 I would say that between 16 and 17 is a good age but only if it is a light kind of make up like powder, mascara, blusher and a lip gloss.

I believe that heavy make up in all ages can look fake and does not flatter natural face features.

I think playing with mum's makeup is ok when they are young, you know, a bit of lipstick here and then.. but not as an everyday thing.
It depends on the girl, but I think I started wearing make up to go out on weekends when I was 14.

I think i started wearing it in 7-8 grade . MAYBE 6th. I think it looks trashy on girls under 8th grade b/c they put way too much on trying to be 'cool' i guess. (i know i said i wore it before 8th but my mother made sure i only had like eyeshadow on!) . As long as it looks NATURAL i don't mind when people start. I'd say around 14 though. not too much!

Id say 14 but truthfully makeup is overrated, i love girls that look real. I have no need for my girl to wear make up.
