A authentic triangle (which ability the biggest attitude is ninety deg) with between the angles as 40 5 deg. signifies that the different attitude is likewise 40 5 deg (ninety + 40 5 + 40 5 = one hundred eighty). on condition that there are 2 equivalent angles, the perimeters opposite those angles are also equivalent in length. which ability you're coping with an isosceles triangle. Draw an isosceles authentic triangle (a 40 5-40 5-ninety triangle) and label the hypotenuse with a length of one million (from a unit circle). Now both legs have a length of x. So, using the Pythagorean theorem, we've: a million² = x² + x² a million = 2x² a million/2 = x² x = ?(a million/2) = a million/?2 Now multiply the num. and denom. by ?2 to make a rational denom. (a million*?2)/(?2*?2) = (?2)/2 = answer
