My sis had the same problem....ended up having a period for 20 days. When she contacted the dr she was told it was just her body adjusting.

U should give ur dr/health centre a quick call just incase.

well that really sux
you should definitely call your doctor
and ask your pharmacist too but the name loestrin means it is a lower amount of the hormone in the pill and it takes some time getting acclimated to the new pill most people just spot for a few days but 12 days is too long

Irregular bleeding or what you are experiancing "break through bleeding" is common in women starting 'the pill'. If the bleeding is heavy or painful, you may want to call your doctor but, if it's light, then I wouldn't worry about it just yet. If it doesn't stop sometime during your next pack or two, talk to your doctor. While you are protected after 7 active pills, it usually takes about 3 months to adjust to the hormones of contraceptive but, sometimes the hormones are no good for the womans body and she needs to switch brands.

Call your doctor. It's probably nothing, just your body getting used to the change in hormone levels, but asking your doctor can't hurt. And, he/she may be able to prescribe a different form of birth control or some dietary supplements to help keep you strength up while you get used to the medication.

I think the best thing you can do is call your doctor. It doesn't sound like a normal period. There could be complications with the pill. It is always best to get the opinion of a professional.

with the aid of fact start administration does no longer guard you from STDs. in easy terms a condom can try this. that is super that your gf is on start administration, as you're suitable approximately it being extra powerful against being pregnant. although oral start administration and different contraceptives, such with the aid of fact the start administration rings and pictures, do no longer guard you or her from STDs. Pulling out/retreating (despite you want to call it) is likewise for the prevention of being pregnant, no longer STDs. the only time that is secure to no longer use condoms is while the two one in all you're monogamous and the two one in all you have these days been checked for STDs and HIV/AIDS, and had damaging effects of course. whether you be attentive to you and your better half have been monogamous, you may the two be examined each 6 months just to verify. remember which you do no longer could have intercourse to get HIV/AIDS, and the final element you want to do is supply your better half an STD.

should get regular in time, but consult your doctor.

I think that it has happened because your body is still adjusting to this new pill in your system. Remember, the first month is not safe at all, and therefore, it will not regulate your periods from the first time.
