Urine will sometimes take on a particular aroma due to a food you have eaten - this is especially noticeable if you eat asparagus!! In a normal, healthy person, urine should smell a kind of neutral but fruity scent. If someone has diabetes, the urine will smell very sweet and will contain sugar.
The main components of urine are urea and water. Urea is a brown substance (which in urine appears yellow due to the dilution by water) so your urine will vary from pale to dark yellow depending on how dehydrated you are (a higher concentration of urea mixed in with waste water).
If it smells a little different when it is darker, this is most likely simply due to the fact that everything, including the molecules that cause the smell, are more concentrated due to dehydration. If you are properly hydrated your urine should be "straw coloured".
If you see any cloudiness in your urine, or if you get a burning sensation when you pee, this may be a sign of a urinary tract infection, in which case you should get it checked out by a doctor.

this sounds like you have a urine infection. Drink lots of water over the next couple of days and if your urine is still dark or you experience any cramp pains or pains when urinating contact your GP as you may need to have a sample tested and you may need antibitotics.

yes it is normal that your urine smells like the food & drinks you eat. And if you do not drink enough water, your urine will be very dark.

This sounds like a urinary tract infection. Go and see your GP. Make sure you drink loads and loads of water, cranberry juice and lemon barley water, this will help flush the toxins out. You will need anti-biotics to rid the infection.

Yes, you need to drink more water. Dark urine is a huge sign that you're not drinking enough.

Don't believe all these people who are telling you to drink water. Eat lots of asparagus and your urine will become totally odorless.
