I don't know if that is true, but most disposable diapers are full of harsh chemicals that are not good for skin.
Not to mention the toll on the environment!
It is worthwhile to consider cloth diapers, they are much easier and nicer than they used to be!

It isn't true. It's up to you which you use, but I do know that most daycare centers (if you will be using one) do require that the baby be in disposable diapers.

Absolutely not true. My son is 23, and I used disposables, and he is perfectly normal with no skin discolorations at all.

i use disoosable nappies on my 10 month old and have not noticed any change in his skin,nor have i heard any other mum's mention it so i would not be too concerned. You could always try cloth nappies if you are really worried.

It can make it dark even now, the plastic can cause sort of a burn. What you need to do is change it often, clean well, and then use baby cream and baby powder.
