is it necessary to install yahoo dsl cd?

a friend of mine told me that it is not necessary to install yahoo dsl cd,i just want a couple more opinions.

Your friend is right. You don't need to install Yahoo DSL cd to access Yahoo DSL.

It depends on the DSL terminal box (DSL modem). Newer modems store your login information onboard. It used to be that you had to use a program to logon to your DSL account. Contact SBC/AT&T and ask them for instructions.
