I heard a report on the radio that said that the Chinese government has employed Google to misinform the public about the Dalai Lama XIV and other items of controversy.

Does this kind of censorship really exist?

Yes, Google (they are not the only ones) has agreed to self-censorship in order to do business in China. The ethics of that are debatable (remember "constructive engagement"?) but it's a fact. China employs an army of net gestapo to censor the Internet in ways not obvious to average Chinese users. My guess is that something like this is blocked soon after it is posted. Ni hao to you all!

yes but its amazing that americans cant even see a real google result cuz of govt regulations
