the jews can call it Israel
the Palestinians can call it Palestine
the jews can have there right of return if
the Palestinians refugees can come home

I think it would be a lot easier to work out because I have doubts that Palestine could ever suport itself with the current borders

The problem is that neither Israelis or Palestinians accept it...
Palestinians want all Israel 'cos they say that Jews have stolen the land from them...And Israel ,by rejecting the UN resolution that call for the creation of a Palestinian state in the borders they had before 1967,showed very clear that they are not willing to live along side with an independent Palestinian state...
I used to think that the best solution is a two state solution, but now I don't believe it anymore...After I saw what happened in Lebanon I am convinced that Israel can never live in peace with their neighbors...They will find different reasons to attack them...
So,I am too for a one state solution, but a Palestinian state...

The land of "Israel" should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.

The new Israel and the new Palestine would be COMPLETELY disarmed.

In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Stationed there should be 200,000 man Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.

We've all been to at least one or two history classes. In Biblical times I thought land was conquered by armies. It was done throughout history. The reason why this was done may not be acceptable today but back in the day it was a thing that just happened. So what the ftf is all this noise about stealing?? It happened so long ago. Using that kind of logic to return "stolen" land would mean most of Africa and South America and the US and Canada would all have to change ownership! Lets move back into the 21st Century ppl!

The problem is that Israel is surrounded by people who not only differ in opinion from the people of Israel, but want the Israelis dead. Wiped out. It's a bit hard to negotiate with people with that position.
