for a male on his 21st birthday to go to a bar or a strip club? Where did you go on your 21st birthday?

I think going out to a bar and getting drunk is the accepted way for a guy or a girl to celebrate their 21st b-day. And most guys I knew in high school went to strip clubs for their 18th b-days, whether us girlfriends liked it or not. It's almost just expected.

For my 21st, I did go out to bar and have some drinks, but it wasn't like a crazy night or anything. My boyfriend (now husband) and I just went to Cincinnati, got a hotel room and went out to bars just the two of us. We had a four month old baby at home, so we needed a night to ourselves.

A bar is ok. Stripe club is an unrelated issue, I wouldn't go there. I went to a bar, I'm sure. Most bars give the b'day person a free drink (one) on their b'day. And that's true the rest of your life, not just 21.

Sure, go do it. Just don't drive. Get a designated driver.

And buy your dad or mom a 6 pack too! as a thank you gift.

well look - its not a 'RIGHT' but a choice.. if you want to go then go.. for my 21st birthday we just had a braai at home, nothing major - well maybe coz i'm an only girl and my parents were ever so strict with me going out.. but i tell you, now that i am a bit older, they have given me a bit of rope to go out and i am enjoying it..

so look, if you must - being a guy and wanting to experience 'guyish' milestones - then by all means - go!!! and have fun but dont get urself in any form of trouble..

i did this when i was 18. a few friends and i all had our 18th birhtday's within a few months of each other. it was a blast. i don't know if my one friend ever got all of that stripper's crotch smell off of his glasses :o
yeah i do think it's a kool right of ascension. live it up.
