If you are dating or seeing someone, is it ok to flirt, especially with people online? I believe some people (both men and women) keep other options open in case the current situation doesn't work out.

It's disrespectful to flirt with other people while you're dating someone, but people do it all the time. If you're still looking around, your heart is not in the relationship and you should just break it off. When you find the right person, you won't want to look around anymore.

The word 'flirt' is itself a negative word - a word you should not be associated with. Let me tell you something: flirting online initially may seem harmless but you should bear in mind that words are spirits. For a spoken word - whether online or audible - has the ability to affect positively or negatively; arousingly and a turnoff. If you're already seeing someone why dont you flirt with your partner. Flirting puts in the same category as liars and the disloyal since you're going to be lying to either your partner or your online friend. Please be careful.

A little flirting is OK, To much makes you look like a tramp, especially if you are already dating someone ! Theres nothing worse for a guy than to see or hear the girl he is dating flirting with another guy !

If you are not into any serious commited relationship with anyone it is alright to flirt - online and offline. You are open to options. But if you are commited with someone for long term then flirting could bring a lot of problems to deal with later on.

Flirting is acceptable even if you are in a relationship, as long as you don't get too carried away with it-no touching that is. Flirting is just like talking, its just what we do. Guys have to be more careful though, now days it is not safe to flirt because some women (who don't get out much) take it the wrong way. Girls don't have to worry though, guys like it rather it is flirting or serious. ;-)

If its humorous it is acceptable but if for contaminating the other its not fair. Okay take for an instance your partner says been in love with some other then you would certainly feel bad about it. Again if it is cleared to you that that was a joke you feel happy.
