Its a good subject and i would look in the ambulance service web sites as they teach and display all modern methods to assist people to walk,
They include zimmers, tri-pods,gutter crutches,walking sticks, false limbs etc.

In your local hospital there is a A/E dept,Appliance Dept,Physio Dept and a Plaster Room all this depts issue these appliances they also have information there especially the Physio Dept they have leaflets and will give your information what to look up on the internet and where to go if you want more info.
