The video display on your computer screen is typically processed by the chipset on your graphics card. The graphics card would have it's own memory built in to cope with the information that it has to deal with.

In simple terms, the larger the memory, the better the performance of the card (the better the graphics will look and the images are processed faster - helpful if you're running 3D applications or games).

Graphic memory are the the RAM ( Random Access Memory )
found on your graphic card. It like your car with a higher cc. the higher the memory the faster your got your pictures display on your monitor. You need lots of graphic memory and system memory too, for gaming and graphic working.
