it depends, byron leftwich practices by throwing at a garbage can lid on the ground 65 yards away, and he can throw more than 8 or 90 yards, but not very accurately. as a freshman in college, he threw from his knees through the uprights (60+ yards). his windup takes a lot longer than most though
