Many people think Zidane ruined his long well earned career from a simple headbutt. But I think it is by far the best thing he (or any retiring footballer) has ever done. How many footballers retire and ruin their fame by something stupid they do? Look at Maradona... He was one of the best football player you can ever find but his depression gave him a turn to binge eating and soon became fat!

I believe Zidane's sacrifice (of the World Cup) and the controversial head butt was something that helped people all over the world even those who don't know him to remember him as that man who gave France the best football experience in 1998 and recognise him as one of the World's best football player!

Zidanes a great guy. Is it worth him doing that? Ask the man himself. As crazy as it may seem, i think it was. You need to tsand up for yourself.

Yes, it is. That headbutt was cool and Materazzi deserved it for pulling Zidane's shirt and talking rubbish.
