If you feel comfortable that is a good thing. You have to figure out if you love her which is different from "being in love." You might just miss the thrill of a new romance and if so, put some romance back into the relationship. You love her if you can't imagine life without her, if you care what happens to her as much as you care for yourself. Can you empathize with her feelings and put yourself in her shoes? Then it's love. But true love can't thrive without a little excitement such as surprising her with flowers or candy for no reason, planning a surprise getaway for the two of you, leaving her love notes, you get the idea. More people should feel comfortable in their relationship so you have that going for you. Try the romantic approach and it might surprise you. Good luck.

You've both clearly have grown apart from each other. Find out when exactly this happened, what aspects have you grown apart with, and bring it back together. My wife and I have never felt we were just "comfortable" together, and thats it, because with every disagreement we've ever had, we've communicated, see eye to eye, and grow closer together with every conflict. We are both the same in every way, beside the fact that I'm a guy and she's a girl. The only time I've ever just felt just comfortable with my ex's, is when ever I felt like we didn't really connect all the way. I felt shut out of their lives to some degree, where as with my wife, I never feel that. It's always MORE than just comfortable.

Direct to the point: CEASE!

Don't even keep it up out of any sense of compassion or pity; it will never do.

Say it as it is and that's it. Better the quick and the dead than the long and suffering for all.
