I need patterns for cutting and sewing simple household cushion covers and pillow case. Paper patterns or even simple directions will do.

Too easy, you don't need a pattern, just copy from your old cushion cover or see how it is stitched. If you know how to sew, you will definately know how to make a pillow case or cushion cover. Alternatively, you can get a ready made one.

measure the pillow you want to cover...
you will want to cut out two pieces of fabric that measurement plus 1 inch for seams and on one end where you will make a hem you will need to add more fabric....add about 6 inches for that hem...
first make the hems for the ends....turn under 1/2" on two ends and press ...then turn that end in about 2 1/2" to make a hem....sew it down
when you have two pieces of fabric that have been hemmed at one end, pin the two pieces together and sew around the sides 5/8" so that you have 3 sides sewn together with the fourth side open and hemmed ...put your pillow inside and voila ...a pillow case

for cushion covers it is a bit different...depending on the shape of the cushion...if it is square you will have to cut the pieces out to match the square top and bottom and add side strips...and in one side strip you will need to place a zipper

if you want a pillow case that does not open on the end you will need to use one piece of fabric the length of the pillow plus two pieces of fabric that when after hemming one end on each will equal the length of the first piece of fabric and then sew these together...

this is complicated in a way....the first pillowcase is the easiest...hopes this helps some...

A simple pillow case is easy, get the size and sewing three side.
For the cushion you may take the old set to check the each side dimension. I don't think you need paper patterns.they are
