I like the white pumps and the blue brassiere.
Anyway, no, my beliefs were never compromised. I have walked out of a church led by a bigoted leader, and strolled alone in a park looking up at the trees and the sunlight shining through as I felt the light breeze of something higher brush against my check.
Was my belief compromised? No, because I learned to find it in me.

Born Catholic - Never went to church except for weddings, funerals and of course, you must receive your sacraments, what will the rest of the family say?
Married a Jew and realized it's all the same G*d. Actually still observe the holy holidays as they truly still have meaning, unlike most who have turned Christmas into a shopping frenzy in the name of a fat guy with a beard.
Now, I have my own religion:
Integrity - Described as such:
We do the right thing, conducting ourselves with the highest ethical and moral standards. We treat others with honesty, fairness and sincerity. We say what we mean and we mean what we say...and our actions are aligned. We are individually and collectively accountable for our actions, and see our commitments through to fruition. We are forthcoming about mistakes. We stay the course (or change it) for the right reasons -- even when it's the unpopular thing to do.
In the end, nothing else matters about you in this whole world.
Choose Integrity as your religion

I grew up catholic. I struggle with what I believe and what I "should" believe all the time. But hey! as long as I try to live my life the best way that I can, I don't think that I'll do all that bad.

I believe in myself.
That inner enlightenment to make my own decisions in life, my own path to follow and to lean on myself for stability and guidance. There is nothing stronger than power of your own mind and body.

Service to humanity. It is painful to see people wash dirty linen in public and there is mud slugging.
