Richard (Kinky) Friedman is one of five candidates running for governor in Texas. His main opponent is incumbent Governor Rick Perry, but he also has a Democrat, Chris Bell, another Independent, Carol Keeton Strayhorn, and a Libertarian whose name I can't remember. (Guess he doesn't have much of a chance.) If you vote in Texas, who gets your vote and why?

I agree with Kinky's honesty and straightforward approach, I certainly agree on his stance on immigration. Mexicans should stay in their country and bring it up instead of illegally entering mine and bringing it down. As is the truth about most depressed places on earth, be it Mexico, Central America, or Africa the problem is not locale but the people. Leaders are corrupt and the people too weak, lazy and/or stupid to change the situation.
Mr. Friedman’s approach and openness is a breath of fresh air in an arena of foul smelling flatulence.

Chris Bell doesn't impress me.
