If you've got coins left over in UK you're probably stuck with them.
The Post Office will change notes at no commission which is a bargain but your best bet with coins is to put them in a charity collection or hoard them till you go to another EU country!

Most banks etc will not change coins. So you can either donate them, as some banks etc collect loose holiday change for charity. Or you can spend it in some shops, M and S is one.

if you type in "conversion european coins to UK pounds" in google, i think it does an automatic conversion for you. You can also put in the values like "5 US dollars into yens" or w/e and you can do it online. But it might be most accurate if you do it at a bank or one of those money conversion centers.

most places won't change coins, I put mine away & take them with me the next time, always handy when you first arrive for coffee or travelling on short stretches of toll roads etc.
