Terrorist experts and generals who served in Iraq have said that the Iraq war is not necessary, and is making more terrorists. http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/09/24/iraq.main/index.html?eref=yahoo

These experts who have been there have said that Iraq was safer under Saddam. They claim that this war has spawned more terrorists. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060926/pl_nm/security_usa_dc_7;_ylt=AlCLFe9So.UH0YTl9iIGbWITv5UB;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl

They say it's a losing battle that's going now place. All this after idiot Bush, Rumsfeld, and Cheney told us it would only cost taxpayers 9 billion for the war. Now it looks like it will cost a trillion dollars.

Isn't it time we slowly pulled out of Iraq and focused on Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan? Shouldn't we be going after the culprits for 9/11 instead of being bogged down in Iraq?

My brother in laws family in Iraq say that they were safer under Saddam.

I agree, The situation has got a lot lot worse. Instead of eradicating terrorism, they are creating more and more terrorist day by day. Its the bush administration that is to blame. War on Afghanistan was justified, but war on Iraq? Where are the WMD (weapons of mass destruction) Bush kept ranting about? Answer: none were found and also the U.N says that the war on Iraq is not justified. But then again what can you expect when you have an Idiot for an President ???

It makes no sense that we blew up Iraq when the Intelligence stated that Osama was in Afghanistan. Now it is a big mess, and other nations are using our actions to justify violence in other areas as well.
I am SO disturbed by what is going on and have lost trust in the common sense of our government. What about the law that only Congress can declare war???!
I still don't understand why we could not remove Suddam from power without destroying the innocent!

Any pullout at this point will only encourage the extremists. Bin Laden stated that we would not pursue a long prosecution of war because we are weak in spirit. If we are perceived as Bin Laden said, the Jihadis will take this as a sign that we can be defeated. Spain did exactly what they wanted after the bombing of their railroad. Do you think that put an end to Islamic attacks in Spain? If the war against radical Islam were limited to Afghanistan, this too would be the reason terrorist organizations are gaining strength. It doesn't matter to them where we fight them, only that we are on Muslim territory and that we aid Israel. If we don't fight them there, we will fight them here.

Look around, Canada is adjusting its laws to accommodate the large numbers immigrating there. France is adjusting its laws to accommodate the large numbers immigrating there. Israel is the most liberal country in the area. Israel is the only country in the area that allows other faiths to participate in their government. Israel is the only country which allows gay pride parades. Israel is the only country which honors its commitments at a cost to their own success and welfare. Yet the left consistently blame Israel for crimes against humanity. Why is there such a double standard in favor of these extremists? Time and time again, the Muslims break their commitments to peace, time and time again, the Muslims commit atrocities against not only Israel, but each other. Even if we laid down and rolled over, we would not have peace from Muslims. Sunnis kill Shiites, Persians kill Arabs, and the media reports only the Muslim skewed view of the conflict.

On my web site, under 'In Their Own Words' you can click links (Bold Words) to video of their most popular religious and political leaders spewing hate speech against the West and especially America and Israel. They hate us for our LACK of morals, and yet the political party here with figureheads like Billy Boy Clinton who taint the presidential office with scandal, who promote the gay lifestyle and every freedom the Muslims hate are supporting Muslim hatred of America and Israel. This defies logic. The Muslims are planning to take over the world. They are committed to forcing us to accept Islam and Sharia Law or die. The recent release of Fox News reporters only happened because the two men who were captured accepted Islam and took Muslim names.

The experts may be right, the war in Iraq might be a recruiting magnet for Islamic Jihad. So what? Do you think our struggle will be any easier if we limit our aggression to Afghanistan? Wherever we are on Muslim soil, they will make the same claim. That we are Crusaders, bent on destroying them all. That we are infidels worthy of nothing less than death. That we are Christians who worship false gods. They make no distinctions between Christians and porno stars, gay or Crusader. They simply intend to rule us.

I wonder where they heard it... seems like Kerry said that a long time ago.. is repetitious rhetoric with incoherent meaning. If you don't know what the alternative is, you are much more naive than you appear. Best listen to what Osama had to say in his declaration of war against the US.

Should so called experts be the last word, why do the economists continue to be surprised at the growth rate of the economy.. they missed it. They are considered experts in their field. Self proclaimed experts are known to be far off base, too many times.

Bin Ladens first terrorist attempt on the WTC was in 1993, in which your good old skirt sniffing buddy, Bill, did absolutely nothing about....

SO, since 9/11, and Pres. Bush stood up like a man, and is carrying out his responsibilities in protecting your butt, HAS there been any attacks since??????????????

Yeah, thats what I thought!

Posting questions is one thing, but, to call others names just because they dont agree with you is wrong, start behaving like an adult, and not like some "others" around here........

This is the price we have to pay to wake America up to how precious the freedoms and democracy we had really were. As Americans, we have to regain what is ours.

It's also the price the world has to pay for allowing so much power to governments.

Hopefully humanity and Americans will learn in time and survive and flourish.
