It is also a dillema that a poor country like India can boast of a list of who's who in richest people on earth.
The problem is the inequitable distribution of income. The riches are there but not spread quite thoroughly across. But some experts argue that there is a trikle down effect theory which is based on principle that If there will be good number of rich people, only then surplus income will reach the poorest of poor.

There are the smart Indian expats all over the world who have made it nearly on their own steam and really deserve kudos for it.
They bring pride to India as a country.
Then there are those in India who have become rich at the cost of the poor people. The cake is finished slice by slice as it reaches the mouth of the poor. Corruption and greed grab slices on their way.
It may also be said that they have the intelligence, capability to sustain this over prolonged periods of their life as their mission without ever stopping to think that there is such a thing like social wealth & justice.
Unfortunate but a fact.
