why does my real name show up on the screen when someone IM's me? Are they seeing my real name?

I would like to know how to change this.... so that my yahoo Id comes up instead! Does anyone know how to fix this??? Thanks!

If you or they are IM'ing you under a different name...That is the name they will see...You will see your default name but they will not...The name showing in the very top strip of the IM is the one they will see...

they seeing the id they imed u with, you can download an older yahoo of you dont like it

you can change you default id by choosing a nickname
