it's a very deep, noticeable dark bruise that is blue :O)

People heal at different rates.Generally one may take a few weeks to heal.If it is a major bruise it may take several weeks to heal.You can ensure better healing by eating fruits that promote healthy skin(citrus etc.)It is also important to take good care of the wound by washing and bandaging(based on how bad it is)and to avoid doing things that would further damage it.It is important to note that bruises change co lour over time.Red at first then blue or purplish co lour at about day 2.Day8/9 the skin over the bruised area will have a brown or yellowish appearance which will gradually disappear

Small bruises usually go away in a couple of days but big ones can take up to a couple of weeks. It all depends on how hard the impact was on the area of your body, and if the bruise is on a large muscular area or on bone.

It depends how big and dark the bruise is. Small bruises go away in two-three days for me. I just got one--and it's sort of fading. It will probably be gone by the end of this week. :D
But it depends on different people. I heal fast. ^_^
