you knew you were going to be born with a disability/disorder/mental disorder/parents who didnt love you/abusive parents/put up for adoption. would you chose to be born anyway, why

People who have disabilities, and disorders can learn to be functional members of society too. They contribute a lot. My English tutor was born paralyzed from the waist down, and had cognitive deficiencies when it came to math. But she was a genius when it came to literature. People overcome abusive childhoods all of the time. Look at Oprah, she was molested. Look at all the good she does. Why is adoption a bad thing? It's true, sucky things happen in life, but thats life. Every one deals with pain and bitterness. It's not about what kind of lives we ae born into, but about what kind of lives we create despite our circumstances.

Your question is flawed, because a fetus does not have the capacity to think and therefore to decide such a thing. The decision to be aborted could, therefore, only be made after living through such circumstances and would be essentially the same thing as choosing suicide.

Curious: why do you include adoption in with the list of "bad" things?

I would want to be aborted if my mother was rapped or if my father was my mothers brother or father or some other close relative. And honestly its not the choice of the fetus, its the mothers choice. And if she doesn't want the child, she has the right, no one else, to abort it. And no i wouldn't 'choose' to be aborted if i had a disability or my partents hated each other, which they do, or was going to put up for adoption.
