i heard it rips your heymen. is that true? i've always used pads but they're starting to get pretty annoying. but tampons just like come out when i start walking. help?

Actually, tampons won't always break a females hymen. The hymen is stretchy enough and isn't completely closed over in most women and a tampon is small enough to fit. When you try to insert a tampon you need to push it up far enough that you can't feel it anymore. Don't worry, it won't get lost up there and the string is there for a reason. If you have trouble getting it in that far you'll need to relax possibly change your positioning, use a different kind of applicator or put a little bit of lubricant (like ky jelly) on the tampon and slide it in. If you can still feel a tampon when it's in, it's not in far enough. Take it out and try a new one.

lol, when I was in 7th grade I tried a tampon, I put it in with the cardboard still attached, dont ask me how but that is how I thought it worked, it always fell out!! lol Then one accident I figured out how to do it!! The cardboard didnt go up and tampon did ! lol i was like omg did I seriously put it in wrong that many times and thought that is how it worked??!!! Ive been using them ever since and llloovee them!! Best invention!!

Beats me:-) Just the thought of tampons scare me for some reason! ALL that talk of hymen and rupture and push it inside the vagina kind of scares the hell out of me!!! I am okay with good old pads:-)

you need to push it up into your vagina until the end of the plastic tube is almost in then just discard the plastic tube. Then you know for sure it's in. You won't be able to pull it out until it's full, otherwise it will hurt because it'll be too dry.
