say you want to move out of town and experience something new and random, so you open a map and close your eyes and point on the map and move there. Do you think that is an adventurous idea? Would you do it if you had the money or have you done it? what do you think about this idea?

that you would do it more for the randomness of it and not knowing what kind of interesting people you would meet and experiences you would have there, things that could totally change your life.

The problem is you have a mental picture of the map in your mind, and you will instinctively aim for a portion of the map you like, or the place you desire to be.
With a friend by your side, close your eyes, spin around 5 times, then release a dart towards the map the second your friend stops you from spinning. (Keep your eyes closed).
The loss of equilibrium will make your throw much more random.
Have fun.
But not such a good idea, I think. What if you end up in Des Moines, Iowa? or Fargo, North Dakota.

I was dating a guy who was a deputy sheriff once and we decided to do that very thing - us and another couple. Well, I chickened out, and so did the other couple, but he moved there anyway and I heard that he made a killing in the stock market with Google or Yahoo or something. Guess I should have gone, huh?

i have done it.
only, my boyfriend thru a dart.
as soon as he read the city, i knew it was bad news.
i said no way am i moving there.
he thru a hissy fit.
we went.
i left him after two weeks and lived out of my car for the next 3 months...
it's not a bad idea as long as you go with your gut instinct.
