No, tarot reading, palm reading and/or psychic readings are not a sin. Except to those who are afraid to think for themselves.

Neither are they a way to create a future or have a wish granted. They are simply ways to "read" or understand the prevailing energy in a situation. Depending on your reactions during a situation, the outcome can change.

These things are only tools to gain insight and self-knowledge. They are not cut and dried, set in stone facts of what the future MUST be.

Depends on your religion. Jews and most christians think so, but some go anyway. Lots of other religions use something like it. I ching, etc..
I use tarot-reading myself to help me get in touch with my sub-conscious.
For instance, if something is bothering me, I will shuffle the deck and pull out 3 random cards and see what they have to say to me. Often it is something like "hang in there" or "who died and made your wishes the law?"
It helps me to remember that I am not the center of the universe or that problems can be seen as challenges.
I don't think trusting others to read for you is a very good idea, because the world is full of bs. But sometimes it is valuable to hear someone else's input. Be careful.
Might be it is a "sin" because Bronze Age people could be so easily led away from the worship and TITHING that kept the leaders in power. Same today.

if you cant think for yourself then you must be a sad, sad person to rely on faith in everything you do in your life.
as the tarot/physic reader has stated its not a sin. how can a power used to help lost kids, etc be bad. such as you people are saying of witches. did it ever occure in your tiny minds that not all witches are bad, such as the pagans they are about celebrating life. you all should be ashamed and if you have kids and need help finding that child i hope the psychics turn you away.

Yes there are many places in The Bible where it says that divniation, spiritists, and other things of this nature such as psychic readings and such are sins. Also, many times these gifts are associated with possesion by demons. I'll try to find the scripture refrences later.

Yes, in the Holy Bible it says it is. Come on, when a girl walks into a psychic's place the psychic can already sense her trouble like a boyfriend or a job which is so common.

And she'll feed onto the victim's emotion. And she won't do it for FREE, keeping the girl coming back for more and more. Ask the psychic does she believe in the Holy Spirt and God, and watch her tremble before the Holy Name of God.

God DOES NOT charge you or ask payment when you pray to him. He is in charge of your future, and ask God what His Will is for you on a daily basis, and HE will guide you.

Quite a few religions and/or devout people beleive it is. Which, to me, is quite hypocritical, considering the existance of things like final chapter of the Bible, Revelations.

My experience says that most fortune-telling is pretty much "self-fulfilling." That is, if I read you your fortune, and I make it vague enough without being too vague, you will subconciously look for patterns and events that match what I "foretold". Oh, need proof? Sometime in October you will meet a tall dark haired man who is concerned with money.

So, sin or not, I wouldn't put much faith in it.

Well I do it every day for a living, and I have a lot of clients who keep coming back to talk to me because of my accuracy. NO - OF COURSE NOT. We do not live in the dark ages. What is evil is ignorance, suspicion, and religious fanatics who cannot think for themselves and feel they have to have a middle man to find God. I guess all the psychics that help find missing children must be evil. All the people I listen to every day, watch them cry, and counsel is a sin. If this is considered a sin then I guess we are all going to hell in a hand basket. The real journey of discovery is not in seeing new landscapes, it is having NEW EYES.

ive hear yes. usually your just supposed to trust God about your future and know that He wants what is best for you. Trying to read the future implies that you do not trust. Tarot cards also have many demonic images and symbols and are associated with other "gods" associated with nature and such.
