My friend is getting married and her husband to be may have a warrant. When they go to apply for the marriage lic. would he be arrested if there was a warrant? Do they even look that stuff up? It was nothing major just non payment of a ticket for a traffic violation.

They do not check for warrants at city hall to obtain a license for marriage.

HE should however pay the fines ASAP. Paying the fines will nullify the warrant.

No need to start off a marriage with debt or jail hanging over thier heads.

I hope not that would not start the wedding on the right foot. I can't see it happening, the warrant isn't for a violent crime.

ha3, marriage license is from the city hall, mayor's office... there's no such record of violations against the law in these offices, go go go, get the licence there... no one know that except the transportation office!
