Don't you dare apologize for the lenth!
that is one of the saddest things I have ever heard. to think that you were fated to be the one to make that boy believe!
We all need that in this world!
What I hate most is the fact that some a/shole thought he was special enough to take the wheel and rip this little boy's heart apart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have bartended for 14 years and I take pride in cutting people off for this very reason!
It could be me with my two boys out there someday!
So, all you lushes, take a cab and stop being such selfish morons! If you cannot handle it, don't drink it!
People lament and cry every day over things like this!

The story was really touching but I never cried but was very sad about the boy . It was kind of you to help the boy . The length doesn't matter when you have such a thing to say . It showed two individuals at two extremities of life . One being the drunkard and the other the kind man in you . It shows the mishaps that drinking causes to humanity . Whatever I say the loss that the little boy had cannot be replaced .

While it is a sad story, it is an older story that I am sure has been circulated numerous times. I know without even passing the first paragraph that I have read it at least 5 times. And now I am able to read it without crying because I know how it will end and what happened.

No... I'm tearing up... is it a true story or did someone just think it up? This is a sad, $h!tty world we live in, and in most cases, this story would be true... God bless the little boy for his strength and devotion and love... and God bless the stranger who took the opportunity to help answer a prayer

It's a touching story, but not enough tp pull out my tears... I wish every irresponsible driver out there would read this and learn that they might get lucky but left others with the pain.

This stuff always gets me. I cry easy when I picture my own family having to go through something similar. Now I am officially ready for bed. Good night!

It's still one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read and it still makes me cry. I'm bawling like a baby right now. Can't hardly see! Thanks for making me care about something else besides my own pain for just a few minutes.

Great story. I only got a little misty eyed, but that is all. You did a wonderful thing. I feel sorry for the ones who answered this and said nothing much about it.
