can anybody suggest more about how to take care of laptop.i am doctor so donot know much

Mine is on for weeks at a time, sometimes even months.

I wouldn't say so, but keeping it on constantly, forever, will eventually wear out the drives and ventilation systems. Laptops are made to work, and work hard, but it will need some time to cool. Give it a break when you don't use it, definately, but as long as you don't block the vents you should be fine. Blocking vent = overheating = laptop dies. (Putting it on your lap or on something cushy, like a couch or chair or something, unless designed specifically for a laptop, usually blocks the vents. Keep it on a flat surface, like a desk, and the vents can do their work properly). If you're not sure, feel the laptop; it should be warm, 'cause things are spinning, but you should be able to touch it and stand it. If you can't, shut it off and give it a break.

I havent shut my laptop off in weeks. I also spent the $30 for a laptop cool pad bought at BestBuy. It will not damage anything to leave it on

as long as it isnt sitting on anything that blocks the cooling vents a cooling pad is a good idea
