you know the kind of the typing that we did in highschool to see how well and how fast we can type something like that is there anything like that for free on the web?

Try TypingMaster Pro, you can download from www.download.com. It's awhile since I used it but it did get my typing speed up quite rapidly.

You can try going to www.download.com and searching for typing tutors. Most of the tutors they offer there can help improve your typing skills, as well as give you typing tests, to see what your WPM average is.
