Go to the health food store and buy zinc tablets. Take them as directed, they will help you with your skin problem. Wash your face with water, never ever use soap as it dries out the skin, use a clearasil facial scrub once a day. Don't overwash your face as you will take away the naturally occuring oils from your face. Pimples are not caused by the natural oil on your face, they are caused by over production of sebum and the blockage of pores by dirt particles.

hi. i used to have pimples too. this is what worked for me:
1. wash your face with a mild facial wash, like ponds anti-acne.
2. use a good toner, but alcohol-free toner like nivea.
3. use a good moisturizer like ponds, or olay, whichever is appropriate for you. if your face is well moisturized, your glands will "sense" that, so they'd produce less oil. thus, less pimples!
4. apply an oil absorbing gel like neutrogena on the pimple. or apply proactiv on the zits.
5. don't go to sleep without washing, toning, and moisturizing your face.
drink lots of water!!!
good luck!!!

hot water to open the pours and then wash with oil of olay and then cold water to close the pours. I'm 36 and have been using oil of olay since 14. I have never had a problem. Always think of ways to get rid of any stress in your life too. That always helps.

I have two recommendations for you. First, if you can afford it, I would recommend dermalogica. They have a great oil control face wash, toner, and moisturizer. I would highly recommend them. They also have a special ointment for the blemishes that are already there. If you can't afford this, I would recommend MAC makeup. They have this great green gel cleanser that is for oil control that works great for my husband. He doesn't like all of the steps of dermalogica, so this is better for him, it has the cleanser and toner in one, and then follow up with the oil control lotion.

Try to use alpha hydroxy soaps. They can balance the ph in the skin and help dry up problem areas. $6 or so at Wal-Mart. You can also try Proactive, or the cheaper knock off at Wal-Mart. Works well. Good luck.

I've tried almost every over the counter acne product but they never worked as well as proactive. Proactive is the best

I use Mary Kay- it's a bit expensive, but lasts a long time and makes my face feel real good. I like the 'classic line'- mask, cleanser and moisturizer.
