NO!!!! I strongly believe abortion is MURDER no matter how you sugar coat it. Even though it takes two to make a child, if a woman is in SO MUCH control of her body, she has the choice not to have sex!!! I think abortion is an excuse for irresponsible people to get rid of an "inconveninece", but its sad that all the while, a child is murdered because of someone's selfishness.

backinbowl,
MAny people arr against some birth control methods (The PILL, IUD, Norplant, The Patch, etc) because they are abortifacient (may cause abortion). People that are against free form of birth control such as condoms, well are just plain silly.

How many are still dying? You didn't provide that information and I don't think it's any more than any other procedure.
I ask anyone who is against abortion.. How many children have they adopted and how much money have they donated to raise these children??? :) I have yet to meet one person who has answered me with a yes and dollar amount. They sure like to complain about the problem but, do nothing to solve it.

I think the number of women dieing while having abortions preformed by doctors in sterile environments is a great deal less than what if would be if she was doing it herself in a back ally with a coat hanger, don't you? Which is what it would come to if abortion was made illegal, because you can bet on it that there will still be desperate women who do not want a baby.
It's a nessesary evil Better to have it the way it is than the way it could be.

Apparently you weren't around when abortion was illegal and women by the thousands were dying of infections and/or internal bleeding from all the "coathanger" and "back-alley" abortions. What strikes me as REALLY CRAZY is people who are against both abortion AND freely available birth control...you can't have it BOTH WAYS, folks! Now would be a good time to wake up to REALITY.

I think the primary problem with this debate is that the two sides are arguing different points. Pro choicers say that a woman should be able to choose abortion or not and pro lifers say that a fetus is a life and hence abortion is murder. See how they are different points entirely? This is more a question of to what degree should a government be able to govern the lives of its citizens.

Many fewer people are dying now that abortions are always done by licensed physicians in sterile conditions and adequate aftercare is available if there are any complications. Many of the deaths were from causes that could have been treated if the woman wasn't too scared to go to the hospital and if the abortionist would have been willing to send her.

I trust you. i'm my mom's son, my spouse's husband and my daughter's father, yet besides the very undeniable truth that i trust i'm sensible to provide suggestion about abortion, it may continuously be the lady's determination. even as my spouse stumbled on she changed into pregnant with our first baby, better than one member of her (conservative, Midwestern) relatives stated abortion because i changed into an entire-time student on the time and it will be financially complicated. My spouse and that i discussed it and determined that there changed into no longer even a query - little question in our minds - that that changed into no longer a reliable sufficient clarification for an abortion. Our daughter will be 25 years previous in 2 weeks. If my spouse had felt otherwise, and theory she could abort the being pregnant, i'd have tried to cajole her no longer to, yet may have deferred to her determination contained in the right. Abortion isn't a range to be made gently, yet with careful theory about all thoughts and all consequences. it isn't a mode of birth control, neither is it a monetary planning device. contained in the right, although, the merely man or woman who has both the right and the duty to make that determination is the lady herself. i do no longer trust that abortion should be thoroughly unregulated or accessible on a whim. There are valid themes of public well being and public coverage at stake. Neither of those instruments of themes, although, is sufficient to justify a finished ban or excessively restrictive prohibitions of abortion. besides the very undeniable truth that lifelike human beings may have alterations of opinion about such severe themes, truly lifelike human beings can arrive at a decision of those themes without resorting to call-calling and extremism (which includes violence).

just because you think this way that doesnt mean everyone else does. i personally wouldnt get one but that doesn't mean i, or anyone else for that that matter, have the right to tell someone else they cant do it. and yes people might die from legal abortions but if it were illegal many more people would die. the government should have no say whatsoever on this issue. and another thing what about rape victims? they didnt choose to have sex it wouldnt be their fault if they got pregnant and if they did have the child it would just be a constant reminder everyday about what happened to them.

people don't only die much more often, it is a more painful and brutal procedure when it is illegal. The abortion rate has been pretty consistent for the last hundred years. keep in mind that people who are pro choice, are not necessarily pro abortion. i am pro choice because i believe the freedom should be available, even if there are certain areas i don't agree with.

You have some really bad info there, bud. Very few die from competently done abortions. If made illegal, anyone claiming to be able to perform abortions will do so. Now at least there are medical guidelines that are followed if done in a competent and reliable facility.

It is murder just like Diamante stated. I don't care how you look at it! It's just like putting a gun to a childs head and pulling the trigger! You can say what you want to, that is an unborn child, I don't care how small it is! That baby did not ask to be here and it is not up to you take that childs life!
