I'm confused...how can you have a relationship if you've not met? Is this a mail order bride deal?
I would be *really* skeptical of the sincerity of this gals devotion to you. Sounds like a green card ploy and you're being USED.

What do you think you are doing, agreeing to marry someone you've never met? Are you crazy?

You have no idea what she is like. You don't even know if she is truly beautiful - that photo she sent you could be ten years old, could be retouched or could even be someone else entirely.

She has no idea whether she loves you, because she doesn't know you. All she really knows is that you are much richer than any guy she can meet in China, and that marrying you will get her a visa. I bet you anything that she will marry you, stay with you long enough to get citizenship and then she will dump you.

Wake up to yourself, get on an internet dating site and try for someone in your own state.

Yes, you can bring her back! I have a classmate in our college - in Los Angele and she is the one lived in China before, but she fell in love with American man who has been visited her two times in China and they're dating each other for more one year. After that he brought her to USA and they married three years ago. They truly love each other and have a beautiful life until now. You might should ask some information from immigration to get a visa for her if you could marry her in China or in USA.

if you really mean to marry to this lady, out of respect, you have to go to china to meet her and her family. plus immigration will not allow you to petition her as fiancee since you have not actually seen her. the only way you can do is to marry her before you can petition her as your wife, an alien relative. you are not able to bring her with you cause it takes a while before she will get all the paper works establish and approved.

i've met my husband through correspondence and we are living proof that its fate that we are meant to each other. we've been together for a long time now, have a 22 years old daughter who is married to another race as well.

by the way, do you feel she is for real? are you ready for this relationship? the adjustment period is not easy, you need patience, understanding and sympathy. there's going to have a lot of challenges and/or obstacles to mold a solid marriage, i can assure you, it will be hard if you are not cut out to stand by her. you need a strong grip on reality, that is if you want to make it work.

if your intention is from the heart, going to china, required a visa.
check the embassy and request a lot of information so you will not get lost acquiring all the necessary details to get married overseas.

good luck and follow your heart....

You both need to contact your goverment immgration and consulate offices and request a Visa for whomever will be traveling. My suggestion would be to obtain a passport for each of you - she will need to apply and get hers in China.

Fly to China, meet her family and ask for permission to marry this woman. It is tradition and you should try to honor her family by taking this trip.

Then you can either have a ceremony there marrying you in China (this would be ideal so her family is present.

Then fly back to the US introduce your bride to your family and freinds and plan a renewal of vows with your family and reception.

Simple steps to obtain passports to start but consult the foreign consults regarding paper work she and you may need to make these trips and I am certain there is a follow up process after the marriage to verify legality since soo many attempt false marriages to gain citizenship. So be prepared.

Congrats and good luck with your love.

Its a totally long process...and both of you need to be ready for a lot of financial stuff. My husband and I were in a long distance relationship. I came from an Asian country too. My husband proposed to me after 1 year in our relationship and we got together here in US after another year. He had to go to my country 3 times in one year just to make sure we click. We even had counselling from our church and had to go through a lot of stuff. Its a long gruelling process but it possible.
