Our house has always had a junk drawer and in it is: scissors, tape, string, slitting knives, screws, Krazy glue, a tape measure, thumb tacks, bolts, wire, nails, Elmer's glue, a small ruler, WD-40, a small extension cord, a few batteries, a pencil, rubber bands, a pen, etc.!

Anything i don't have a place for. Scissors, those ties that come with garbage bags, napkins from fast food places, pens without caps, markers, alligator clips, elastics, memory cards, matches, lighters, pocket knives, batteries, keychains, post-its, sometimes assorted pictures, notes-to-self, phone message notes, menus, coupons, sometimes bills that i don't want to look at but need to "take care of soon", little lotion bottles (those are hidden all over the house), caps, anything else i keep "just in case i need it later".

Puter cables, VCR cables, stereo cables, tools that I haven't found the right place for, the part my washing machine needs to make it quit going "klunk", the valve plate off my air compressor, old socks that I use for rags, extension cords, padlocks I can't find the keys for, keys I can't remember what locks they go to, Ni-Cad batteries that need to go to the recycler, and a dildo I can't get clean.

There is a hammer, screwdriver, some nails and some screws, some pens, pencil, a tablet of paper, scissors, and batteries. And surprisingly, its very organized.

Misc stuff. Scissors, matches, cards, clothes pins, etc. Basically stuff that can be discarded and won't be missed.
I'll be right back....gonna empty the drawer right now.

screws, rubber bands, band aids, pens, pencils, glue sticks, screwdriver, sticky notes, paper clips, keys(of I do not know what), my daughter's jewelry, my son's belt, batteries, lint, cat collar with tags, coin money all of that comfortably nested amid a bunch of stuff we do not need & should be trown away

Lots of pens, paper clips, post it notes with old notes...and some dollar bills. some good old pictures and business cards too...

scotch tape, rubber bands, take out menus, oven mitt, twisty ties, ruler, pens, bread crumb, cheeze it, pad of paper, paper clips, thumbtacks
