French-speaking countries are collectively referred to as "Les pays francophones".

Pays means countries, and francophone means French-speaking.

"Les communautés francophones" is used to refer to French-speaking communities in countries / regions in which French is not the major languages.

e: ask if it somewhat is in Fahrenheit or Centigrade. There are Fr. conversing worldwide places that each. For the needs of your homework, besides the undeniable fact that, the formula to transform is C=(5/9)*F-32 or F=C/5*9+32. So assuming all French conversing worldwide places use Celsius (or Centigrade) then you definitely can decide what it is in F and make your determination.

Well, it depends. The french language came from France, but they are not the only french speaking country. For example, there are a lot of people from a french descent in Canada, and they speak French. I'm sure there are other countries that speak French also, but I'm not sure which ones.
