This is for my significant other. He's president of his company, so on his 50th, I hired a Marilyn Monroe to come & sing Happy Birthday Mr. President, a magician, an entertainer that sang & played guitar & some line dancers. I'd invited about 150 people. I'd like to top this for his 60th. He's a great guy!

Fictionalize a funeral...

Make sure he knows he's "done for" now that he's turning 60, and have everyone camp up the party (you know...black suits, a harlot in a red dress, a buffet table shaped like a coffin, etc.) and speak of him in past tense.

Just have fun with it and let him know how much he is loved by all.

Maybe it's just my sense of humor, but making light of the age is most of the fun.

What a great idea you had for his 50th birthday party. It's going to be hard to top that one. Maybe you could hire an impersinator, like an Elvis, or whomever he liked, when he was younger. I used to like Buddy Holly, and Elvis. You could hire a disk jockey, to spin the tunes of the 50's and 60's, he would probably love that. You seem like you have all the good ideas. You could try and rent a 57 chevy, and take a cruise around town, blasting the radio with Golden Oldies. Wish him a very happy birthday, and many many more..Good Luck..

You can play ; Pull My Finger or put everyones false teeth in a huge tub of water and have a race to see who can find their own teeth first. Serve up RC Colas and Moon Pies and play Maple on the Hill.- Sounds like you are gonna have a hard time topping the 50th.Do a home version of "This is Your Life" and surprise him with friends he hasn't seen in years.

Good gracious!!! Your man is undoubtedly a man whom you will do anything for. Oh, what a supremely grand celebration you both enjoyed to mark his 50th year. I understand you feel impeled to "top" the last milestone celebration, and everything inside me wants to advise to go for a very, very, sexy and secluded private celebration this year. The only reason I can think of not considering my suggestion would be that this man fully expects you provide a public affirmation on each milestone birthday! If you can afford it financially and emotionally, go for it....

I guess you could hire a deejay to play all of his favorite songs - you know the ones! You should go for what he listened to when he was a teenager or young adult. That will make him and everyone get up and dance.

How about a remembrance of childhood. Play dodge ball, have a water balloon fight, or tag.
