if Duchamp turned a urinal into a sculpture, then you can use a bee hive. it might just get a little messy and decay, but you can say that was part of your sculpture.

That actually might be a very neat idea but I would make sure all the bees are out first.
If you have the imagination then you can turn anything into art.

I suppose you could but why. the standard hive is just a set of wooden boxes with removable frames for comb, and a few extra pieces of hardware to keep the queen in her brood section and make escape routes for the workers.

thats a really cool thought--but actually if you have the time, the imagination, and the creative talent--you can turn anything into a sculpture
