I want to be able to lock my ring on my razr. I always turn it on vibrate but it switches to silent, or to alert while it's in my pocket. If it's on silent, I don't know when I'm being called, and if it's on alert it is too loud and it annoys my teachers.please tell me how to put my razr on vibrate permanently.Thanx for your help.

well i have a razr and wat i do is just press clear and then press star or u could just use airplane mode

I'm guessing you're changing the ringer settings using the side buttons on the RAZR, and the buttons are getting pressed while they're in your pocket, changing the ringer settings w/o your knowledge.
Honestly, there's one surefire way of this not happening: don't put the phone in your pocket. Alternatives include using a beltclip or phone pouch. I don't know of a way to lock out that setting. Sorry.
