I have a friend who is in the "friends category" (meaning that I really like him and he really likes me and there is definite potential, but we do not think the timing is right) and I am shopping for his birthday. I was thinking of getting him an autograph of his idol and a book that he really wants. Is this too much?

Well, in my opinion, I would first ask myself: "Am I really willing to go that far to get him something that good. Do I really really like that person?" I say you should ask yourself and make up a decision based on your opinion.

it seems like it is too me. How much time would it take for you to do this. why not get your 'friend' a CD or DVD he likes. save the 'special' gifts for later. when he is updated to Boyfriend.
