My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2 1/2 years now. We have a one year daughter together as well. He seems to go through phases though. Sometimes he'll be extra sweet to me and treat me like every girl wants to be treated... but then he gets impatient and lazy with out daughter. Then other times, it's the other way around. He's not abusive in any way, but i feel like i'm holding myself back. I'm only 19. I have my whole life ahead of me and I dont think this is what i want forever. I havn't really talked to him about it. I'm not good with feelings and all that stuff. Should i start looking for someone new?

Well, you need a real shiny lamp with a genie in it and you have to rub it a certain way...
or you could wiggle your nose....
or cross your arms and blink....
or click your heels together 3 times and wish...
Baby girl, they dont change, they just get worse over time
Always remember, marriage is a sentence, not a word.

Well, of course you know that you should talk to him first before you just walk away from the situation and start looking for someone new. You need to find out where his head (and heart) is. If all of the responsibility of being a parent and a partner is too much for him, maybe he will let you know that he's really not ready to be tied down either, and then you two can make a mutual decision to go your separate ways but still be the best parents that you can be for your baby girl. Just remember that the two of you have to be happy in order for you to be able to make your daughter happy.

Only you know what type of partner you really want. Think carefully what you are going to do for the rest of your life. Sometimes people are together bcoz they have a kid already even though they may not love each other. This could be an agony for both of them. So think what you want for yourself and what is best for your kid before you made your move. I think you can figure out what is best for your daughter than anyone of us here

First of all you just need to pay attention to only your daughter..nobody new will fix the problem..you need to let him go..he only wants to be a sometimes Daddy, move on...he is no good, A person needs to have a heart, and he sounds like he has a selfish Heart..emotions is an Abuse..dear...don't let your daughter go threw this...

not necessarily look for someone new but figure out what you want in life and go for it you can be a mom and still get and career and education and if this is something you know you don't want for life talk it out now the longer you stay in a relationship the harder to get out but you will always have him in your life because of your child...so make sure that you realize that whether you stay or go you still need to be able to communicate with this man

Don't look for someone new. Leave him if you have to though. Concentrate on bettering yourself because you now have a daughter to raise and a new boyfriend isn't going to make your child's life better, you have to do that. Good Luck.

You answered you own question.

You said it youself. You are 19, and you have you whole life ahead of you. Do you REALLY want your future to look like this?

If you don't, break things off and move on.

you've already know the answer, you just want someone to back you up on what you already know. I got your back. Take care of your daughter & make youself available should you meet someone that will make you happy.

Depends how much he means to you. Communication is THE most important part of a relationship. If you don't communicate, no relationship will be successful.
